Fatal Move

It’s no secret that Belgium has had a vibrant hardcore scene for over a quarter century. In the early nineties the H8000 bands put the genre on the map and often featured on the bill of Ieper Hardcore Fest. Congress, Liar, Blindfold or Shortsight are just a few of the bands even the genre’s cradle, the NYHC scene, was jealous of. In recent years the H8000 scene has cooled down somewhat but Merksem natives Fatal Move have been flying the flag for over a decade. Be sure to check out their third and most recent studio effort, 2019’s ‘Somewhere Between Life and Death’. Invitations for the 2023 editions of Dour, Ieper Hardcore Fest and GMM illustrate that they’ve made significant progress. Fans of Hatebreed and Lionheart will wet their lips and if the new video for ‘Those Days’ is any indication we’re in for one hell of a ride.  #GMM23
