Formed as recently as 2014, Inglorious is fronted by Nathan James, who featured on ‘The Voice’ and ‘Superstar’ and built a reputation working with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Uli John Roth. The band members carry their love of 70s and 80s rock on their sleeve, with obvious influences from the likes of Deep Purple, Aerosmith, Whitesnake and Bon Jovi. Queen guitarist Brian May has already compared them to a Deep Purple in their prime and with Nathan James’s vocal range being likened to that of a young David Coverdale, the possibilities are virtually limitless. Check out their eponymous debut (2016) as well as follow-up ‘II’ (2017). They combine catchy, easily remembered choruses that’ll have you singing along from the second hearing with the kind of larger-than-life riffs that ruled the 70s/80s (hard) rock scene. Look out for tracks off their new album ‘Ride to Nowhere’, which is set to drop in late January 2019. (#GMM19)
