Successful bands need to reinvent themselves from time to time if they are to maintain their status. While dozens of bands have claimed to have pulled this off, few have been as successful at it as Sepultura, and this in spite of the often harsh criticism they've had to endure. Sepultura’s founders have long since left the building but the Brazilian juggernaut refuses to slow down. At the start of 2017 they released an early contender for album of the year with ‘Machine Messiah’. More than thirty years after their inception, Sepultura are still battling on.
