Can you feel that familiar GMM fever rising? Are your neck muscles starting to twitch? To highlight our 25th anniversary and get you warmed up for four days of metal mayhem we are proud to launch our ‘Anthem’ today. Tijs Vanneste (Oceans of Sadness, Van Echelpoel) and Mario Goossens (Triggerfinger) teamed up with Johannes Van Audenhove (Evil Invaders) and Sybren Camerlynck (Fleddy Melculy) to record a track that captures the spirit of Graspop Metal Meeting.
For a Dessel native like Tijs Vanneste, Graspop Metal Meeting (and Graspop before that) has always been ‘his’ local village festival... “I performed here six times with my first band Oceans of Sadness and on 6,000 occasions me and my mates have been the last to leave the bar... it’s a damn honour to be asked to write the anthem, and in such great company too! Here’s to the next 25 years!!!”
