One huge party with Belgian top acts on Thursday!
Combination ticket holders can start the party on Thursday
Festival-goers with a combination ticket will be treated to live music by talented Belgian artists on the Jupiler Stage and the Metal Dome podiums on Thursday 15 June starting in the late afternoon. The nine names for Thursday 15 June are: Thurisaz, Born From Pain, King Hiss, Off The Cross, Wolves Scream, Bear, HEXA MERA, Carnation and an exciting surprise act. Loyal festival visitors will discover the name of the surprise band at the festival. The popular DJ duo Goe Vur In Den Otto and classic rock DJ Carl will contribute to the nocturnal festivities in the Metal Dome and the Classic Rock Café.
Red BuLl Music stage
Red Bull Music and Franky DSVD will claim the Metal Dome on the eve of the festival. Franky DSVD personally selected King Hiss, Wolves Scream and HEXA MERA: three promising Belgian bands who know exactly how to win over an audience. Don't miss them. This is a great way to kick off the sacred three-day festival full of violent guitars.
Die-hard metal fans continue to party
Festival-goers who don't find their fancy in the powerful Belgian metal sounds on Thursday can make their best metal moves in the Marquee. The Covering plays stirring covers of the best metal songs. SLAYEnsemble does credit to its name: Best Slayer Tribute Band in Europe. The surprise act will close Thursday night in the Marquee. This year's surprise act will be revealed at the festival. High-profile DJ duo Goe Vur In Den Otto will bring down the Metal Dome as the final act on Thursday. DJ Carl will play hard rock and metal classics until the early hours in the Classic Rock Café at the “Classic Rock Party”.
Tributes and Classics
Metal fans can continue to work their neck muscles until the early hours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Tribute bands Metal Attack and Art Of Pantera will close the Metal Dome on Friday, Korn Again and Stiff Bizkit will do so on Saturday. DJ Rock The Fox plays excellent metal records between, before and after the bands.
This year there will be more than just non-stop hard rock and metal classic hits and video clips in the Classic Rock Café. Harris (Iron Maiden tribute) and Parris (Thin Lizzy tribute) will entertain festival-goers on Friday. Skreem will cover almost every rock evergreen, old and new, on Saturday. Prinz Klauz will prove it is the best heavy rock & metal tribute band in the Netherlands on Sunday.
Sum 41 changes date and stage
The Canadian punk rockers Sum 41 have changed their performance date at the festival. The band moves from Saturday 17 June to the Jupiler Stage on Sunday 18 June as the headliner.
