Heavy Metal

When Five Finger Death Punch razed the festival grounds in Dessel in 2017 Tommy Vext was filling in for 5FDP’s frontman, who was in rehab at the time. Jaws dropped and the verdict was unanimous: this was one the most convinving acts of the weekend. This year we’re welcoming Vext again with his own band Bad Wolves. Their line-up includes former God Forbid guitarist Doc Coyle and drummer John Boecklin, who used to beat the skins for Devildriver. Their debut album ‘Disobey’ is a strong statement and they inadvertently scored a hit with the Cranberries cover ‘Zombie’ following Dolores O’Riordan’s demise shortly before the release. A perfect mix of a heavy sound and sentimental overtones, just one of the many facets of Graspop Metal Meeting! (#GMM19)
