Played at Graspop Metal Meeting
2012 / 2014 / 2018

Founded a decade and a half ago in New Fairfield, Connecticut, metalcore heroes Emmure have always been a controversial band, due in large part to frontman Frankie Palmeri’s bad boy reputation. Emmure like to incorporate elements from other genres such as hardcore, alternative metal and even rap into their material, and the band’s musical influences include the likes of Korn, Nine Inch Nails, Slipknot and Limp Bizkit. Late 2015 all the band’s instrumentalists walked away, leaving only Palmeri to recruit new personnel. Enter Josh Miller, Phil Lockett and Josh Travis. The latter’s chugging style meshes extremely well with Emmure’s signature brutal breakdowns and Palmeri’s raspy nu-metal vocal style. Watch for tracks off their 7th album ‘Look at Yourself’ (2017), the new quartet’s maiden recording. It’s different but still undeniably Emmure so be sure to check out the new line-up! (#GMM18)
