The Hollywood Vampires was a celebrity drinking club formed by Alice Cooper back in the early 70s. Regulars included Keith Moon (The Who), John Lennon (The Beatles) and Micky Dolenz (The Monkees). Today a nameplate of the club can be seen in the famous Rainbow Bar & Grill in Los Angeles. Meanwhile Alice Cooper has been a teetotaller for decades but some years ago he breathed new life into the name by assembling a band of the same name.. Bringing bassist Tommy Henriksen from his own band, he also persuaded his friend Joe Perry of Aerosmith to play guitar side by side with actor Johnny Depp, who wears his love of rock ‘n’ roll on his sleeve. Starting out they mainly played covers but ‘Rise’ (2019) contained 13 new tracks in addition to several covers. Their performance here in 2018 made it abundantly clear that Hollywood Vampires are no jukebox and we’re glad to welcome them back to the main stage. #GMM23
