Played at Graspop Metal Meeting

In the late 80s, the American all-female outfit Vixen were one of the most notable names on the then popular glam metal scene, an accomplishment not to be taken lightly in a chest hair dominated genre. In 1988, the classic line-up featuring Janet Gardner, Janice ‘Jan’ Kuehnemund, Share Pedersen and Roxy Petrucci launched their successful eponymous debut containing the hit single ’Edge of a Broken Heart’, then went on to back it up with ‘Rev It Up’ the following year. Despite a growing fan base and widespread critical acclaim Vixen dissolved in 1991. There have been numerous reunions and line-ups over the years but it wasn’t until 2012 that tings really got moving when lead guitarist Jan Kuehnemund sought to revive the original line-up. Unfortunately she succumbed to cancer before the actual reunion but she did rekindle the flame and the remaining trio forged on. Apparently there are even plans for a new album.(#GMM18)
