With five previous GMM appearances under their belt, the Welshmen of Bullet for My Valentine could probably find the GMM festival site blindfolded by now. After the mixed reviews for 2013’s ‘Temper Temper’, follow-up ‘Venom’ (2015) marked a successful return to BfMV’s metalcore roots without abandoning the catchy riffs and accessible melodies of their later days. As such, ‘Venom’ can be seen as the synthesis of everything BfMV fans have come to know and love over the years. The album showcases mature musicians who have taken to heart the lessons of the past only to strike back with an accessible and addictive album. BfMV’s incendiary cocktail of thrash, metalcore and heavy metal influences as well as their live prowess make them a crowd (surfing) favourite. Their 6th studio album is set for an early 2018 release and it’s bound to be exciting. If you were there when they razed Marquee II back in 2011 you know what to expect! (#GMM18)
