Asomvel feel like a band pulled straight out of the late ’70s and dropped into the present day without losing a single ounce of grit. Rooted firmly in heavy metal with a strong Motörhead backbone, their sound is all about speed, attitude and unfiltered rock ’n’ roll energy. Early releases like ‘Kamikaze’ (2009) set the tone, but it’s ‘Knuckle Duster’ (2013) that really captures their identity: no gimmicks, just loud, fast and proud. Following the passing of frontman Jay-Jay Winter in 2010, the band regrouped and carried on, proving their commitment runs deeper than any setback.
