Electric Callboy

Electric Callboy is a six-man outfit from the German Ruhr area that plays a mix of metalcore and electronic music, also known as electronicore. They’re not trying to reinvent metal and they’re not afraid of a little self-satire. They don’t take themselves too seriously and all they want is to show the fans a good time, something their almost 300,000 Facebook followers certainly appreciate. This is the first time we get to welcome them since their name change. Their popularity has soared in recent years but in tandem with their success, protests against their original band name also started to grow. In early 2022, they band was renamed Electric Callboy. Their relaxed attitude is one of the reasons why they are so successful: three of their albums (‘We Are the Mess’, ‘Crystals’, ‘The Scene’) made it onto the top ten album chart in Germany and they’ve toured with the likes of Papa Roach and 5FDP. They also rocked the Lotto Arena in Antwerp to its foundations. If you’re into metalcore-based experimentation then Electric Callboy may be just what the doctor ordered.(#GMM24)
