Sinsaenum

Sinsaenum came together as a true extreme metal collective, drawing members from across the black and death metal spectrum. The result is a sound that doesn’t sit comfortably in either camp: black metal’s icy atmosphere collides with death metal’s weight and groove, creating a harsh and unrelenting hybrid. Fast, bleak and tightly structured beneath the chaos, their debut ‘Echoes of the Tortured’ (2016) set the tone early on; ‘Repulsion for Humanity’ (2018) was more deliberately paced and explored sharpened songwriting without cushioning the impact. Lyrically, the focus stays firmly on inner collapse, existential dread and apocalyptic imagery, always delivered with a kind of cold intensity that’s devoid of theatrics. The death of drummer Joey Jordison inevitably marked the band and their trajectory but the music itself stands on its own. For fans of extreme metal that balances discipline with aggression. (#GMM26)
