Zetra

Zetra operates on the shadowy crossroads of gothic atmosphere, darkwave textures and doom-laden emotion. The duo project is as much about mood and aesthetic as it is about traditional songwriting, with a sound that relies heavily on synth-driven layers and reverb-soaked guitars. Covid didn’t stop them from switching gears and bagging a record deal with Nuclear Blast. They deliberately obscure their identity, which only adds to the sense of mystery surrounding their music. Apart from their self-titled 2024 debut, they have focused on creating immersive releases that feel like fragments of a larger, unseen narrative. Themes often drift between isolation, melancholy and transcendence, delivered with a restrained vocal style that enhances the spectral quality of the music. Musically they don’t chase conventional album cycles and on stage they also fail to conform to the norm.
