Helloween emerged in the 80s as one of the founders of the European power metal scene. Albums like ‘Keeper of the Seven Keys Part I’ and ‘Keeper of the Seven Keys Part II’ are still considered landmark albums within the genre. Tracks like ‘I Want Out’, ‘Future World’ and ‘Eagle Fly Free’ are absolute classics and are still among the standout moments in any Helloween show.

In 2017 vocalist Michael Kiske and singer/guitarist Kai Hansen returned to the Helloween fold, joining Andi Deris to form a line-up featuring three frontmen. Since then, this line-up released two more albums with the eponymous ‘Helloween’ (2021) and ‘Giants & Monsters’ (2025). In late 2025 they embarked on a world tour in celebration of their 40th anniversary. Following a brief winter break, the festivities resumed in the spring and are set to continue into 2027. On Thursday 17 June their special 40 Years Anniversary show will take Graspop Metal Meeting by storm. [#GMM27]
