FAQ - the crypt

Do I have access to The Crypt with a one-day wristband?

A Crypt camping ticket gives access to campsite The Crypt.

What can I bring to The Crypt?

Click here for a list of what you can and can’t bring.

Can I book a specific spot at The Crypt in advance?

Unfortunately not. The ‘first come first served’ principle applies: early birds will get a spot in the front, later arrivals will have to set up their tent(s) at the back. Want to be certain you can stay with your friends? Book a Friends Zone at campsite Boneyard!

I’ll be the last of our group to arrive. Can I still pitch my tent next to theirs?

Only if there’s room for your tent and if you have a valid The Crypt camping ticket/wristband.

Can I bring a wheelbarrow/trolley/hand cart?

Yes, as long as it’s not wider than 85 cm.

Can I bring my motorhome, caravan, car, motorbike, ... to The Crypt?

No, only tents are allowed. Motorhomes and (folding) caravans are welcome in Metal Town, or at one of the private campsites in the Dessel area.

What is the maximum tent size?

There are no limits as long as you can transport it from the car park to The Boneyard yourselves and the tent is used for the number of people for which it is intended.

Can we erect a party tent?

Yes, as long as the dimensions don’t exceed 3 x 3 m. Parasols are also allowed.

How much alcohol and/or soft drinks can I bring?

24 cans (33cl) per person. That’s 792cl or sixteen 50cl cans.

What about sound systems?

No, sorry. There’s musical activity in the festival arena until 5 a.m. and – believe it or not – but some of your fellow campers may actually need a few hours of sleep.

Can we have a BBQ at campsite The Crypt?

Only small camping stoves are allowed (click here). Barbecues and open fires of any kind are strictly prohibited. In case of extreme temperatures the fire service may also ban the small camping stoves for safety reasons.

Is electricity available at the campsite?

No, sorry. You can charge your mobile at the Recharge stand or in a locker.
