Kuazar

Formed in 2002 in Ciudad del Este, Kuazar’s sound is rooted in old Metallica and Kreator-leaning thrash metal with touches of death metal aggression, combining sharp riffs, fast tempos and lyrics in Guaraní. From the beginning, the band has channelled themes of conflict, corruption and social tension into music that balances technical precision with raw intensity. While they remain firmly underground on a global scale, Kuazar has built a solid reputation through regional festivals and international metal platforms that highlight emerging scenes. In 2023, a full 14 years after their debut, they dropped a highly acclaimed sophomore album. ‘Hybrid Power’ is an excellent, groove-infused thrash album that saw them become the first Paraguayan band to complete a full European tour.
