The Pretty Wild

This young American band around the sister tandem Jyl and Jude Wylde mixes pop, metalcore, nu-metal and deathcore to arrive at what they themselves call ‘baddiecore’. Viral tracks such as ‘Sleepwalker’ and the recent single ‘living ded’ (2025) simultaneously conquered TikTok and the international metal scene. Part of a newer generation that treats genre boundaries as optional instead of axioms set in stone, they move freely between styles as they broach subjects such as empowerment and self-expression. Their live shows are hyper-energetic eruptions alternating ultra-hard breakdowns, pop-sensitive hooks and unstoppable stage rage in rapid succession. The Pretty Wild are a young, hungry phenomenon full of promise that effortlessly translates the social media hype into a frenzied festival pit. (#GMM26)
