Scroll long enough on TikTok and chances are you’ll run into TX2. The Colorado-based project built its following the modern way: short, confrontational bursts of music that hit hard both sonically and visually. Musically, TX2 sit somewhere between alternative metal, emo rap and glitchy, trap-tinged production, with heavy guitars colliding head-on with electronic beats and sharp, hook-driven vocals. It’s chaotic on paper but the immediacy is exactly the point. Rather than working through traditional album cycles, TX2 gained traction through a steady stream of singles, each one doubling down on themes like mental health, identity and the darker sides of online culture. There’s very little filtering going on here, which explains why a younger audience has connected with it so strongly. Live, that same rawness translates into something unpredictable. Instead of striving for perfection they aim for impact, a snapshot of how heavy music continues to mutate in the digital age.  (#GMM26)
