Future Palace

When Maria Lessing, Manuel Kohlert and Johannes Frenzel founded their post-hardcore collective Future Palace in Berlin back in 2018, the name of their WhatsApp group was the inspiration for the band name. They describe their style as alternative hardcore with 80s synth pop and electronica influences. Maria’s lyrics are about personal experiences, depression, inner conflict and toxic relationships. Their sophomore outing ‘Run’ (2022) struck a chord both in Germany and abroad and now they are making their GMM debut. (#GMM24)
