In 2016 Lionheart decided to pull the plug right at the high point of their career, a decision they soon regretted because they reformed the following year. These rugged Californians are a popular favourite on the hardcore scene, thanks in part to their catchy lyrics; musically their style can be described as a blend of hardcore punk and heavy metal. So far they’ve put out five studio albums and if you want to know what to expect, their ‘Live at Summer Breeze’ 2020) is probably as good as a place to start as any. They’re all about crowd participation: in the pit, singing their lungs out or banging their heads. The perfect band if you like to work up a sweat.
