Biography

Formed in 2012, the American-Australian collective The Dead Daisies is the brainchild of Jon Stevens (INXS/Noiseworks) and David Lowy (Red Phoenix/Mink). The duo’s predilection for the heavy rock sound of the late 70s and early 80s generated a great deal of interest in rock land with numerous candidates offering their services. Personnel changes have been a constant in the band’s history so far but that doesn’t seem to affect the quality of their output. Their much-anticipated second outing ‘Revolución’ (2015) dropped a month after their GMM debut. The tracks are powerful and catchy as hell and John Corabi’s low-down dirty, gritty and powerful voice is a perfect fit for the music. ‘Make Some Noise’ (2016) builds on its predecessor and takes it to the next level with a collection of songs made for the live stage.
