The hallowed festival grounds of Graspop Metal Meeting are located along the Stenehei in Dessel, Belgium. The best way to get there is by bicycle or public transport. Starting Wednesday 17 June, the area surrounding the festival site will be closed to all motorised traffic. Only pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles with a special permit will be allowed to pass.  

BY BICYCLE

Looking to avoid tailbacks en route to GMM? Come by bicycle! Parking is free in our secure bicycle parking lots near the main festival entrance. It’s ecological and healthy, and as an added bonus you get a Green Coin. Attention: illegally parked bicycles will be taken to the bicycle parking lot. There are no charging facilities for e-bikes in the bicycle parking lots.

PARK & BIKE

It’s too far by bike but you still want to avoid tailbacks? Then Park & Bike is the ideal solution. Leave your car in one of five free car parks, hop on your bike and enjoy a relaxing ride to the festival arena. Store your bike safely in the secure bicycle parking lot near the main entrance.

Are you coming by train? That’s a great idea! The Belgian National Railways (SNCB) is running extra trains during the festival. The nearest station is Mol, where free shuttle buses will be waiting to take you to the festival grounds. Please note that your festival ticket is not a valid train ticket.

 EVENT TRAIN TICKET: ROUND TRIP AT REDUCED PRICE 

Go to Ticketmaster and download your SNCB code from 27th of May. The SNCB code always begins with a zero, the capital letter i and the letters FB. Copy and paste the SNCB code to avoid mistakes.

With this SNCB code you can buy your Event Train Ticket on sncb.be/graspop.

This train ticket is valid for 1 outward and 1 homeward journey in 2nd class with discount, between any Belgian station and the station of Mol. From there, the free shuttle bus will take you to the festival and campsite (Boneyard, The Crypt and Inferno) If you're staying at Devil's Lake, take the train until Lommel station. From there, it is best to take a taxi or other public transport.

THALYS OR EUROSTAR 

If you’re traveling to the festival in the Thalys or Eurostar, get off at Antwerp-Central or Brussels-South. From there, you can continue your journey to Mol or Lommel station with the Event Train Ticket. Please note your Event Train Ticket is not valid on the Thalys or Eurostar.

FREE SHUTTLE BUSES

During the festival, free buses will shuttle back and forth between the festival site and the bus stop at Mol station. 

  • Wednesday: 1.30 pm – 10.30 pm
  • Thursday: 7.30 am – 2.30 am
  • Friday/Saturday/Sunday: 8.30 am – 2.30 am
  • Monday: 7.30 am – 1 pm
AIRPORT & RAILWAY SHUTTLES

The airport and railway shuttles ferry passengers from Eindhoven Airport, Brussels Airport & Brussels South Charleroi Airport to the festival. The shuttle from Eindhoven Central Station is also available again to take you straight from the train station to the festival site. New this year are the airport/railway shuttles from Brussels South railway station. On the Monday after the festival, you can take a shuttle straight back to the airport or railway station. Just remember to book a separate ticket for this.

FESTIVAL SHUTTLES 

The number of Festival Shuttles keeps growing. This year the festival shuttles will pick up fans from no fewer than 20 locations across Belgium and the Netherlands. A shuttle ticket will have you rocking out as early at 11.30 am; every festival day at 2 am your shuttle will be waiting to take you back to your pick-up point. Ticket prices (round trip) start from €37. So board a shuttle and enjoy a safe, hassle-free drive to GMM.

ARE YOU ORGANISING YOUR OWN COACH?

Then be sure to notify GMM HERE in advance. Your coach will be directed along a specific route to a separate coach parking area near the festival entrance.

If you’re coming to the festival with an airport or festival shuttle you also get a Green Coin in the coach parking area.

BY CAR / MOTORBIKE

If you’re coming by car or motorbike remember to switch off your GPS system as soon as you encounter the first FESTIVAL sign. Depending on the direction you’re coming from, you will be directed to the best and fastest accessible GMM parking. Graspop Metal Meeting is easily accessible via the E34 and E313 motorways.

Carpool with your friends: it’s much more fun and better for traffic. On this carpool website you can easily offer or hitch a ride.

KISS & RIDE

Like last year, you’ll find the Kiss & Ride zone at Mol station. From there, free shuttle buses are waiting to take festival-goers to the festival arena.

Avoid the usual festival congestion and use the shuttle service for easy drop-off and pick-up. Navigation is simple with Google Maps or Waze.

TAXI

PARKING

FESTIVAL PARKING

All GMM car parks are paid parking and are located within walking distance from the festival site. There is no separate parking for motorcycles and scooters. Parking next to your tent at campsite Boneyard is prohibited for both cars and motorbikes. If you leave your car by the side of the road you may be towed. Spending the night in the car park is prohibited. Only motorhome owners can rent a pitch in Metal Town. None of the car parks offer charging facilities for electric cars. Don’t leave any valuables in your car. 

GMM is not liable for damage inflicted in the parking areas.

Do you have a VIP ticket, a ticket for a pitch at Metal Town or a camping ticket for campsite Inferno or The Crypt? Ticketmaster will send you a link to order a car park ticket for a nearby parking facility. 

Important info:

  • Our car parks have a limited capacity: first come, first served.
  • Save time and money and buy your car park ticket in advance! Online sales start one month before the festival.
  • Tickets are also available on site, but these will cost more (debit and credit cards only, NO cash!).
  • Car park tickets are single-use only. If you leave the car park and return the same day you will need to buy a new ticket – on condition that the car park isn’t full.

CAR PARK INFERNO

This car park is only accessible for visitors with a valid Inferno car park ticket who have purchased accommodation at campsite Inferno.

Opening hours car park Inferno:

  • Wednesday from 3 pm: only for Inferno campers with a combi ticket
  • Thursday through Sunday: open from 8 am.
PARKING INTER [VISTORS WITH A DISABILITY ]

Visitors with a disability can park in a dedicated section of car park Inferno – that’s the one nearest the main entrance. Access to this section must be requested beforehand via the application form. The number of parking spaces is limited so be sure to submit your application on time. Please note that all car parks are paid parking, including disabled parking spaces. Once your application is approved, you will receive details on how to purchase your car park ticket. Volunteer staff from Inter will be on hand at the car park to assist you and, if necessary, escort you to the main festival entrance or the Inter campsite.

VIP CAR PARK

If you have a VIP Deck festival ticket, you will receive a separate email from Ticketmaster to apply for a VIP car park ticket.

VIP car park tickets are valid in all car parks.

Do NOT leave your car in the VIP car park if you have a VIP Deck festival ticket and are staying at campsite Boneyard. Instead please use one of the regular car parks, which are closer to the Boneyard.

Do NOT leave your car in the VIP car park if you have a VIP Deck festival ticket and you’re staying at campsite Inferno or in Metal Town. Instead please use the car park for campsite Inferno or Metal Town.

BY PLANE TO #GMM26

From several airports in Belgium and the Netherlands, Dessel is just a short hop.

From the two Belgian airports you can board a train for Mol station, where free shuttle buses will be waiting to take you to the festival site. You’ll find the train station at Brussels Airport (BRU) is at level -1 of the terminal. At Brussels South Airport (CRL), take bus line A to the train station of Charleroi-Sud and continue your journey by train. FAQ

Does my festival ticket include free train travel?

No, it doesn’t. Go to sncb.be/graspop and buy your Graspop Metal Meeting Train Ticket using the NMBS/SNCB code on your festival ticket. This train ticket is only available online and is valid for 1 outward and 1 homeward journey in 2nd class at reduced price between any Belgian station and the station of Mol. Travellers staying at Devil’s Lake should take the train to Lommel station.

Which railway station is closest to Graspop Metal Meeting?

If you’re travelling by train it’s best to get off in Mol, which is some 8 km from the festival site.

Are there any night trains during the festival?

No, there aren’t. The last train of the day pulls out of Mol station around 10 pm. Plan your outward and return journey with the NMBS/SNCB’s route planner.  

How do I get from Mol station to the festival?

Free shuttle buses are waiting at Mol station to take you to the festival site. Please note these buses are not available round the clock.

Do the shuttle buses stop at any nearby hotels?

No, but some hotels organise their own festival shuttles. Contact your hotel or campsite directly for more details.

Where is the Kiss & Ride zone for Graspop Metal Meeting?

Have your driver drop you off at the KISS & RIDE at Mol station. Free shuttle buses are waiting there to take you to the festival site.

Can I sleep in my car in the car park?

No. Spending the night in one of the GMM car parks is prohibited for security reasons.

Can I drive off before the end of the festival day?

Absolutely. However, keep in mind that you will have to buy a new car park ticket when you return and you may have to park further away from the festival.

Is there a separate parking facility for motorbikes or scooters?

No. Motorbikes and scooters must park amongst the cars at the GMM car parks.

Can I charge my electric car at the GMM car parks?

No, the car parks don’t include charging facilities.
