Ego Kill Talent are a Brazilian rock band based out of São Paulo. Founded in late 2014, they released their maiden EP in 2015 with ‘Sublimated’, followed by ‘Still Here’ one year later. In over a decade of existence, they’ve built an enviable track record, performing at numerous major festivals such as Lollapalooza, the Maximus Festival and Rock in Rio (all in Brazil), as well as Download Paris. They’ve also shared the stage with the likes of Foo Fighters and Shinedown. Their eponymous full-length debut came out in 2017 and their no-nonsense rock struck a chord with heavy music fans across the globe. This band of friends and multi-instrumentalists – they even like to swap instruments on stage - are destined for the big leagues. They were one of the most interesting new finds at GMM2018 when they brought the Metal Dome to the boil with their groove metal. 2019 was going to be their year as they were scheduled to go out on tour with Metallica. Then Covid happened and they changed their plans, recording a new album and releasing it as three separate EPs. ‘The Dance Between Extremes’ (2022) showcases all of Ego Kill Talent’s assets: multi-instrumentalism, songwriting skills, soaring vocals, tight riffing and heavy but catchy tracks.
