Ereb Altor

Named after a supplement to the Swedish fantasy role playing game Drakar och Demonen, the Swedes from Ereb Altor are one of the most popular Viking metal bands. In two decades they’ve put out nine Viking sagas and all that time they’ve worn their biggest influence on their sleeve: Bathory! After absorbing that influence in all shapes and forms for many years, be it the hard-hitting Bathory of the early days or the later, epic incarnation of the ‘Hammerheart’ era, Ereb Altor has spawned an unadulterated tribute to the godfathers of Viking and black metal with ‘Vargtimman’ (2022).
