Brian Downey was a co-founder of Thin Lizzy and until the 1983 split, Downey and Phil Lynott were the only constant members of the band. In the years that followed he travelled the globe with a number of Thin Lizzy tribute bands. He also performed on Lynott’s solo albums and contributed to the solo success of Gary Moore. In 2017 he founded Brian Downey’s Alive and Dangerous. With bassist/vocalist Matt Wilson and guitarists Brian Grace and Phil Edgar in tow he scours the European continent with a set list consisting mainly of Thin Lizzy tracks.
