Dying Wish are a female-fronted metalcore band from Portland, Oregon. Emerging from the American underground hardcore scene in 2018, they have since developed into a respected metalcore act with a worldwide fan base. They know what it means to fight for survival and that boundless energy shines through in their live shows. Lyrically they are not afraid to tackle the hard issues, from the personal to the political. In Ghent they recently shared the stage with August Burns Red and now we are proud to welcome them for their GMM debut. Take some time to check out their three studio albums so far, ‘Fragments of a Bitter Memory’ (2021), ‘Symptoms of Survival’ (2023) and you’ll see why fans of Heaven Shall Burn will have a ball with Dying Wish. Ther ever-important third album, last year’s last year’s ‘FleshStays Together’, was heralded as a major leap forward, thanks to Emma Boster’s versatile vocals ranging from full-tilt screams to moody cleans, and their newfound ability to draw on horror tropes that thrive on a threatening atmosphere.
