The Offspring have been a gateway band for countless fans stepping into heavier music. Emerging from the Californian punk scene, they exploded onto the mainstream scene with ‘Smash’ (1994), one of the best-selling independent albums of all time. Their blend of punk rock, catchy melodies and a sharp sense of humour carried through releases like ‘Americana’ (1998) and beyond. While not metal, their fast-paced energy and socially aware lyrics about politics, youth culture and everyday absurdities fit naturally on a diverse bill. Decades in, albums like ‘Let the Bad Times Roll’ (2021) and the recent ‘Supercharged’ (2025) – their first album as a five-piece – show they haven’t lost their touch. Expect a set packed with recognisable hooks and plenty of crowd movement. (#GMM26)
