This American hardcore punk band from Baltimore formed in 2010 and consisted of members of Trapped Under Ice and Mindset. From day one they made an impact on their home market: their two EPs ‘Pressure to Succeed’ (2011) and ‘Step 2 Rhythm’ (2013) have a cross-genre appeal that makes their music accessible to music fans in general. Their heavy touring schedule quickly established Turnstile as a force to be reckoned with and they were often compared to Bad Brains and Rage Against the Machine. Their full-length debut ‘Nonstop Feeling’ (2015) built on the groove of their initial two EPs. It’s a more mature offering characterised by the infectious mix of old school NYHC with a RAtM vibe. Turnstile plays the kind of music that belongs in any festival line-up but that is something we’ve been aware of since their 2016 debut here. Their most recent full length ‘Glow On’ (2021) was a commercial success that also earned them three Grammy nominations. (#GMM24)
