The Last Internationale

The driving force behind The Last Internationale is the duo Edgey Pires (guitarist) and Delila Paz (singer). RAtM guitarist Tom Morello was an early fan and gave them a helping hand. In fact, when they were in need of a drummer he contacted RAtM colleague Brad Wilk, who liked them so much that he joined the band full time. They are an activist group who wear their leftist politics on their sleeve and have been known to participate actively in political rallies and benefit events. Meanwhile the albums kept coming and they toured with the likes of The Who, Extreme and Robert Plant. Their brand of rock marries the strong lyrical content of blues and folk with the provocative vibe of punk rock. (#GMM24)
