This in-your-face British electro punk tandem offers a high-octane blend of nu-metal, EDM, hip hop, industrial rock and post-hardcore that is reminiscent of Limp Bizkit. Their name as taken from the 1992 L7 song. Wargasm was established in 2018 in the British capital by former Dead! member Sam Matlock and model/concert photographer Milkie Way. Listing Limp Bizkit, Slipknot, SHVPES, Poppy and Loathe as influences, they mounted an unrelenting sonic onslaught indebted to hardcore punk, dubstep, alternative metal and screamo. Their 2019 single ‘Post Modern Rhapsody’ set the stage for their 2020 breakthrough single ‘Spit’, while their first full-length ‘Venom’ features a guest spot by Fred Durst on ‘Bang Ya Head’. NME listed them as one of 2021’s essential emerging artists. Their 2024 GMM debut was a high-octane affair so asking them back was a no-brainer. (#GMM26)
