FOOD & DRINKS

Hungry? In addition to the traditional French fries with mayonnaise or hamburgers and hotdogs, our festival-goers benefit from a varied and extensive range including pancakes, pulled pork, wraps and baps, juices, snacks and much more. Every campsite also serves breakfast. Discover the food truck zone in Metal Plaza and sample dozens of mouthwatering dishes. We ensure a generous and varied offer taking into account those who follow a gluten-free, lactose-free, vegetarian or vegan diet.

Thirsty? Our drinks stands have just the thing. Thirsty festival-goers have a choice of water, soft drinks, energy drinks and, of course, cold beer. Fancy a half litre? You can order them at any drinks tent. Looking for something special? Drop by the Belgian Beer Bar for draught beers that have that little bit extra. Not a beer lover? No worries. Shake it up at the cocktail bar or treat yourself to a glass of wine, cava or a steaming cup of coffee at our wine, cava and coffee bars.

And also...

  • All sanitary blocks have free drinking water.
  • You can’t bring your own food and drinks onto the festival grounds. Be sure to bring a valid prescription if you’re on a special diet (gluten or lactose-free) or if you need medication. This way our security staff will know why you brought medication, syringes or gluten-free sandwiches and any awkward discussions can be avoided.
  • Serving alcohol is served to under 16s is prohibited by law. Purchasing alcohol for under-16s is an offence. The age limit for spirits is 18.
  • In accordance with current legislation, cigarettes and other smoking products are no longer sold on the festival grounds.
FREE WIFI

Need Wi-Fi? There’s free Wi-Fi at the main entrance. All mobile operators will boost their capacity during the festival.

TOILETS

Last year we expanded our sanitary facilities to keep the queues manageable. Several sanitary blocks with a sufficient number of toilets and urinals are dotted around the festival grounds. Use of the toilets is free of charge. And guys, seriously... Urinating in public? That’s absolutely unnecessary.

INFO, LOST & FOUND, POLICE

Questions about train schedules, signing sessions, the weather, programme changes...? Visit the info stand at the main entrance. Our team will be happy to help. You can also hand in or pick up lost items there. After the festival, please contact Dessel police station at pz.balendesselmol.wijkdessel@police.belgium.eu or tel. +32 14 33 37 80 for all lost/found items.

Report all cases of theft, damage, lost ID or missing persons to the GMM police post at the festival entrance.

PROTECT YOUR EARS

Loud music is amazing, hearing damage isn’t. Immerse yourself in the music but don’t forget to protect your ears. Get your free earplugs at the Recharge stand. The EARPLUG stand has both free earplugs and Alpine filter earplugs, geared to your festival experience.

SAFETY

We want everyone to be able to enjoy the festival safely and have one hell of a time. That is why there is a ban on crowd surfing and why climbing climb trees and scaffolds, lighting fires and smoking in the tents and on the VIP Deck are prohibited.

Metal detectors
All ticket holders must pass through a metal detector to gain access to the festival arena. Please note you may be frisked at the entrance and our security staff may want to search your bags or backpack. Click here for an exhaustive list of items that are not allowed in the festival arena. Tip: bring only the essentials and store all other belongings in a locker at the main festival entrance.

First aid
Need medical assistance? Approach one of the Red Cross staff in the main festival arena. If you can make it that far, you can also report to one of two Red Cross stations: at Campsite Boneyard or in the main festival arena.

Emergency situations
Stay calm, get yourself and your friends to safety and leave your belongings behind. Follow the instructions of the security staff and keep an eye on the LED message boards. Text, don’t call.

FAQ FESTIVALPARK

What can/can’t I bring into the main festival arena?

Click here for an exhaustive list of items you can or can’t bring into the arena. (English version on p. 2)

Can I bring my camera?

Small (digital) cameras are allowed; photo equipment with an interchangeable lens and professional cameras are prohibited. Filming and sound recording equipment (including GoPros) is also banned.

Can I bring my prescription medication/special food?

Yes, but remember to bring a valid prescription. The Red Cross stations provide cold storage for medication if necessary.

Is free water available at the festival?

There are taps with free drinking water in the sanitary blocks at the campsites and in the main festival arena.

What about facilities and carers for visitors with a disability?

For a number of years now, we have teamed up with Inter in order to enhance the festival experience for people with a disability. Click here for full details.

I’ve lost my... (please complete). What now?

Head over to the info stand to see whether your lost item has been handed in. Report theft at the police post by the main entrance. After the festival you should try Dessel police station (Kwademeer 26, 2480 Dessel, tel. +32 (0)14 33 37 80).

Are there any age restrictions at the festival?

There is no minimum age. Children do not have free access and are not eligible for a discount on their festival ticket. We advise against bringing babies and young children to the festival. Children are more at risk of hearing damage and they are more vulnerable in a sea of (sometimes intoxicated) adults and festival-goers. Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult (+18) at all times.

No, we don’t. Consult your gynaecologist to determine whether or not it is advisable to attend the festival in your condition. If you do decide to attend, you will be doing so on your own responsibility.

Can I hand out promotional materials at the festival grounds?

No, it is strictly prohibited to put up posters or hand out flyers or other promotional materials at or in the vicinity of the festival park.
